Being Pregnant Rocks

Being care was fun until that last month. Until then all I was dealing with was fatigue, and the occasional being kicked in nerve bundles in my sides. Of course I still had the nausea from morning sickness. But that last month was when things hit me. The swelling of my feet, and everything else. That and she decided to drop head down 4 weeks before her due date, so I got to start waddling. I felt like a penguin. I enjoyed sticking my arms out and pretend I was one. I had fun. But by then I looked like I swallowed a beach ball.

I went to water aerobics most weeks while I was pregnant.

This is a picture the Sunday before she came.

Honeymoon Woes

We left for our honeymoon right after the wedding. Our best friends, Briana and Kevin, had paid for our hotel in Tempe, Motel 6. When we got there the only room they had available was a smoking one. Not the best environment when your pregnant. I was feeling sick the whole night because of the smell. And the bed being hard as rocks didn't help. I know I had made the reservations for a non-smoking room, and when I asked to be moved they were not accommodating. And the fact that I would have had to pay for the Wi-Fi if it hadn't been my honeymoon, all made my night horrible. The next day we went to the Renaissance Fair. That was fun, though since I was pregnant I had very little stamina, and we couldn't stay long cause I was getting light headed. So over all not the best honeymoon one could have.

The Wedding

Exactly one month later on March 14th, we got married. It was small just his family, my family, and a few close friends. We had the bishop of our ward marry us. I walked in to our song being played on the piano by a good friend of the family. But what I didn't know was my mom had found someone to sing. When I heard that I started to cry it was so beautiful. We had my computer there and my bothers and grandparents who live out of state, on Skype so they watch. It was wonderful.

Our first pictures as a wedded couple.

This is us and our best friends. They were the ones who got us together.

Signing the marriage certificate.

My mom and I.

Us with my parents.

Me and my wenches. ;P

Us with his family. His father, brother and wife and child, his sister and cousins.

A Good Man

When we had gotten home from Texas, and I finally got medicine so I wasn't puking every 5 seconds, I headed over to the fathers house to tell him the news. He took it well enough, but he promised me that he would be there for me through it all. So a month later on Valentines Day, he proposed.

He used my three favorite flowers to represent our past, present, and future. On the future flower was the engagement ring. Of course I said yes, I think I cried a little it was so sweet. We loved each other then, and we still do.

The Ride Home

The ride home wasn't all that fun. Unfortunately I am one of the few women who had morning sickness 24/7. So all the way home I was barfing into a Ziploc bag. There was this fun stop at a gas station were they had a shower in the bathroom, so everything was tiled. If you have ever sang in a bathroom you know the sound is amplified. So you can guess what barfing in there was like. I came out of the bathroom and my mom whispered to me that I had just scared everyone with the noise I was making. We had a good laugh about that the rest of the way home. It was not fun to live off of saltines and water till I could get into a doctors office to get the anti-nausea medicine.

The Woe's of Peanuts

While in Texas we had gone to the Children's Museum in Huston. I recommend going it's awesome. Anyway on the way out I had gotten really hungry, but all we had was my moms granola bar...with peanuts. So I opened it and took a bite, and immediately threw up everything in my stomach. On the ride home from the museum I sat shotgun and my brother Paul sat behind me. I was feeling bad and threw up again out the window. When I was done I went and spit to clean my mouth out, unfortunately my bothers window was down. It got all over his face. I felt so bad. But he's a good guy and we just laughed it off. But from then on anything with peanuts was off limits during my pregnancy. Meaning no more peanut butter. I was soo sad. Especially since I craved a peanut butter sandwich.

The Start

It all started in Texas with a UTI. Now it was a couple of hours before the New Years party my brother Dale. I had a UTI and went to a Urgent Care to get some meds to get rid of it. When they ran the test they asked if there was a possibility that I could be pregnant. I said maybe. They came back in and told me I was. I was mortified. My parents still thought I was a virgin. I got my prescription and met my mom in the waiting area. We went to the party, I went inside because I was close to a breakdown. My sister-in-law Jessie took one look at me and asked me what was wrong. And the dam broke. I told her everything and then my mom came in and I told her. By the end of the vacation everyone in my family knew. Now I had to go home and tell the father.
